Listening Before Designing
Throughout development, we conducted multiple rounds of sampling and wear testing with people of different ages, arm shapes, activity levels, and skin sensitivities.
What we learned was simple but important. A guard that’s too tight makes itself known immediately. It presses, distracts, and limits movement. On the other hand, one that’s too loose can slide or shift, breaking your focus and forcing constant readjustment.
Because no two arms or lifestyles are the same, we realized that a single solution couldn’t serve everyone well. The better answer was choice—offering our customers the freedom to select the fit that suits them best.
Why We Introduced a New Version
Rather than replacing the original design, we developed a new version with a different structure and purpose—one that focuses on adaptability and stability. An adjustable hook-and-loop closure at the upper arm allows for fine-tuning, so the fit can be customized to your arm circumference. This helps the guard stay in place without feeling overly tight or restrictive.
The design also distinguishes between left and right arms, following the body’s natural contours. The result is a smoother feel in motion, with less twisting or shifting as you work.
Designed for More Ways to Wear
One of the most practical advantages of the new structure is flexibility in how it’s worn. Thanks to a wider adjustment range at the upper arm, this new version can be worn directly on the skin, or layered over long, or even on top of winter outerwear.
This makes it easier to use across different seasons and tasks, whether you’re working in the garden on a cool morning or layering up for outdoor chores later in the year.
